The Worst-Week Method

Built for your worst week. Unstoppable on every other. For fathers 35 to 55 who run something.
A 7-minute read. One 45-minute call. One decision.
Before your call

Read this first

I wrote this so our call isn't spent on me explaining what I do. By the time we talk, you'll know what the Worst-Week Method is, what you get, how it runs, who it's for and who it isn't for.

That leaves the whole call for the only thing that matters: your week, and the plan that survives it.

If you read this and think "that's me," book the call. If you think "not for me," that's a good outcome too. You just saved us both 45 minutes.

Be honest with yourself

Sound familiar?

  • You run a business, a crew or a household, and you're good at it. Your health is the one promise you keep breaking.
  • You've started over on more Mondays than you can count.
  • Every program you tried lasted two or three weeks. Then a job blew up, you travelled, a kid got sick, and it fell apart.
  • You eat in the truck, at the drive-through, or at 9pm after the kids are down.
  • Your energy falls off a cliff mid-afternoon and caffeine is holding the day together.
  • You get winded doing things that used to be easy. Chasing your kids. Carrying something up the stairs.
  • Your doctor said something about your numbers, or you've stopped asking.
  • Your kids are watching all of it.

It's not because you're lazy. You're the most disciplined guy you know everywhere else. You've just been handed plans built for a man who doesn't exist.

The real problem

It was never discipline.
It was design.

The fitness industry builds programs for a guy with an open calendar, a meal-prep Sunday, 90 free minutes a day and nobody calling his name.

So you get six-day splits. 1,500-calorie meal plans. Hour-long cardio. PDFs copied out to 200 clients. AI plans that have no idea you missed three sessions because a job went sideways.

Every one of them is built for your best week. Your best week never shows up. The plan breaks, you fall off, and someone tells you to try harder.

The Worst-Week Method flips it. Your program is built around your hardest week first: the 14-hour days, the travel, the tournament weekend, the deal that goes sideways. If it holds there, it holds everywhere. Every other week is a bonus.

Busy isn't the excuse. It's the design brief.
Who I am

Why I built this

I'm Kyle Jarvis, a certified personal trainer and nutritionist with 20 years in health and fitness. Before I coached a single man, I spent 11 years in oil and gas doing pipeline work around Fort St. John.

On pipeline, you pressure-test a line above what it'll see on its worst day, because if it holds there, it holds everywhere. Every fitness program I'd been handed was tested on a perfect week. None held on mine.

Kyle Jarvis training

So I built one that did. I tested it on myself first. It got me ripped. It got me sober and clean. It made me better at everything. I used the same system to build and sell a service company.

That's the part most coaches miss. The discipline doesn't stay in the gym. It carries into your business, your marriage, and how your kids see you.

Then I ran it with guys from work. Busy dads, tradesmen, business owners. What survived became the Worst-Week Method. I've coached hundreds of men through it, and I'm coaching around 40 right now from Kelowna, BC, while raising two kids of my own.

My kids won't always listen to me. They will always copy me. So I lead from the front.

The mechanism

Four parts. One coach. No guessing.

01 · MAP

The Worst-Week Map

Before a single workout or macro is written, we map your hardest week hour by hour: work, travel, family, sleep and the equipment you actually have. Then we review your baseline bloodwork, through our clinical partner GameDay in Kelowna or alongside your own doctor.

You come out with three things. Your Floor: the minimum you hit on your worst day. Your Full plan for every other day. And your goal, set in writing.

02 · TRAIN

Floor & Full Training

3 to 4 sessions a week, built on your schedule, your equipment and your body. Gym, home gym, hotel or job site.

Every session has two versions. Full is 30 to 45 minutes of complete programming. Floor is 20 to 30 minutes using the same key lifts. Slammed day? Run the Floor. You never take a zero week again.

Think of gearing down the truck on a steep grade. You don't park it and wait for flat road. Most programs only have one gear, so the first hill stops you cold.

03 · FUEL

Same-Plate Nutrition

No meal plan you'll quit by Thursday. Your macros are set to your goal and built around the food you already eat. I teach you to portion your plate, so you eat what your family eats, just the right amount.

You also get worst-week fallbacks: your go-to order at the gas station, the drive-through, the client dinner and the airport. A bad day doesn't turn into a bad week.

04 · ADJUST

The Real-Time Pivot

Your week goes sideways, you message me in the app, and your plan changes that day. Not next Monday.

Sleep, HRV and resting heart rate from your wearable, plus your check-ins, tell us when to push and when to pull back. A program without a coach is a paper map. This is the GPS. The second the road changes, it reroutes you.

Your week changes. Your plan changes with it.
Everything included

What you get

  • Your Worst-Week Map. Your hardest week mapped hour by hour, your Floor and Full plan set, and your goal written down.
  • Bloodwork, read properly. A baseline panel through GameDay (Kelowna) or your own doctor, with coaching built around your markers. On TRT or considering it? Your training and nutrition support the plan you and your doctor choose.
  • A fully custom program loaded into the Jarvis Fit app within 72 hours of your intake.
  • Floor & Full training, 3 to 4 sessions a week, with video walkthroughs and form review in the app.
  • Same-Plate Nutrition: macro targets, portion coaching on your real meals, and worst-week fallbacks for the road and the job site.
  • Direct access to me in the app, with same-day adjustments when your week changes.
  • Wearable integration (Garmin, Apple Watch, Whoop) so decisions come from your data, not guesswork.
  • One group call a week with men running the same method.
  • A members-only community of fathers and business owners in the same fight.
  • 1-1 calls with me when you need them.
  • Daily accountability check-ins. Miss a session, expect a message.
  • A capped roster. I limit how many men I coach so every client actually gets watched.
  • The Zero Deviation Policy (below).
Will this work for me?

Real men. Real weeks.

Their words, unedited.

V.C
Just over a year on the program.
I've been on Kyle's program for just over a year & lost 130lbs.

Austin · Electrical Contractor & Business Owner
His worst week: running the tools and growing a business at the same time.
Came onto Kyle's program, little over a year ago. Was struggling with vices, finding time for my health & growing my business. I've since dropped ALL vices, cut the fat & put on visible muscle. My business has improved, actually every aspect of my life has. I now have more time for golf, in the best shape of my life & make more money. The program works if you work it
A.M
Jordan · Paramedic, 35
His worst week: split shifts, rotating nights and days.
I did Kyle's 6 month program & lost over 50lbs. I work split shifts, nights & days as a paramedic. Kyle made a program that actually fit my schedule. I cut out the smoking, & snacking at night. I now have more energy & a system that keeps me on track. Highly recommend
J.B
Justin · Father & Sales Manager, 42
His worst week: a new baby and a full business calendar.
I'm already noticing things. Like better flexibility & range of motion. Did a squat to pick the baby up, instead of an awkward old man knee down, haha. My plantar fasciitis is completely gone now thanks to the program. Kyle makes it easy to work shop ideas and pivot the training with my schedule. Making planning my week & executing, that much easier.

John · 55, Father & Businessman
While the weight loss is pleasing, the overall progress is even better. I wouldn't have expected this much progress at 55.

Cole
10 years working out, never seen my 4 or 6 pack. Ever. Until I took his leadership & followed his formula.

Biggest change to date has been my energy & confidence.

Individual client results. Your results depend on your starting point and how consistently you follow the plan.

Zero risk if you do the work

The Zero Deviation Policy

Follow everything I tell you. Do every workout. Hit every nutrition and food log. Follow the whole program.

Don't get your results? I'll work with you for FREE until you do.

Zero deviation means zero. Every workout logged, Floor or Full. Every food log hit. Every check-in done. For the full term. It's written into your agreement, and I'll walk you through it on the call.

The only way you lose is if you don't do the work.

Who this is for

This is for you if

  • You're 35 to 55 and you own or run something. A business, a crew, a team. Trades, construction, entrepreneurs, operators, executives, shift workers.
  • You've tried before and the plan broke on a busy week.
  • You don't need more information. You need a system that holds.
  • You already invest in yourself and your business.
  • You're family first and you want to set the example.
Who this isn't for

Don't apply if

  • You want a magic pill or the cheapest option.
  • You want a PDF to run on your own.
  • You expect your coach to do the work for you.
  • You blame your genetics.
  • You have an open calendar and no real pressure in your week. The whole method is built around pressure.

I don't take everyone. That's not a sales line. It's how the roster stays small enough to actually coach.

How it works

Three steps

  1. The Discovery Call · 45 minutes, freeWe map your worst week together and look at where you actually are: energy, training, food, sleep and your markers. I'll show you exactly where your last plan broke, then sketch your plan built around that week. You leave with a plan whether you join or not. At the end, I'll ask for a yes or a no. Not a maybe.
  2. The Build · Month 1Your intake, your Worst-Week Map, your bloodwork review and your full custom build, loaded into the app within 72 hours. Then an onboarding call with me to walk you through it. Your first 30 days of coaching are part of the Build.
  3. The Hold · Month 2 onwardThe coaching, the app, the weekly group call and the real-time adjustments for the rest of your agreement. Your program moves through Foundation & Cut, then Growth, then Optimization.

The investment

It's a Build + Hold structure: a one-time Build, then a monthly Hold, on a 6 or 12 month agreement. There's also a paid-in-full option that saves you money, and financing is available.

I keep numbers out of this doc on purpose. Your plan is priced against work I haven't done yet. You'll get every number on the call, once I've seen your week.

FAQ

Questions men ask first

How much time does this take?

3 to 4 sessions a week. Full sessions run 30 to 45 minutes, Floor sessions 20 to 30. It's built to fit the week you actually have.

What if I travel or work away?

Then that's the week we build for. Hotel gym, job site or nothing at all, you'll have a Floor session that works there and road macros to go with it.

Do I have to follow a strict diet?

No. No meal plan. Same food your family is eating, portioned properly, with fallbacks for travel and job sites.

Do I need a gym?

No. Gym, home gym, hotel or job site. Some of my best results trained at home or on the road.

I have old injuries.

Most of us do by 40. Shoulders, knees, backs. We program around them and strengthen the tissue that's been the problem.

I used to be an athlete. Is this too basic for me?

The opposite. You get periodized programming and measurable targets, the structure you had in your playing days, built for a 40-year-old body and a full calendar.

How does the bloodwork part work?

In Kelowna, we refer you to our clinical partner GameDay for a men's health panel. Anywhere else, you get your panel through your own doctor or a local lab and we work alongside your physician on what it means. We coach, coordinate and track. We don't diagnose, treat or prescribe.

Do you work with men on TRT or other medication?

Yes. If you and your doctor have chosen that path, we build your training, nutrition and recovery to support it. Medical decisions stay between you and your physician.

I'm not in Kelowna. Can I still do this?

Yes. Most of my clients coach online through the app, across North America and beyond.

Do I need a Garmin, Apple Watch or Whoop?

Helpful, not required.

How fast will I see results?

It depends on your starting point, your bloodwork and how you execute. Most men feel energy and strength move first, and body composition follows. You'll get an honest timeline on the call once I've seen your numbers and your week.

How long is the program?

6 or 12 months. 12 months is where the full transformation happens, and it's what I recommend for most goals. 6 months is the foundation.

Can I cancel anytime?

No. It's a 6 or 12 month agreement. Results that last take longer than a month, and the Zero Deviation Policy only works if we both commit to the full term.

How much does it cost?

Build + Hold, with a paid-in-full option. You'll get every number on the call, once I've seen your week.

How is this different from an app, a PDF or a trainer?

Most online coaches run hundreds of clients off the same PDF. My roster is capped. An AI plan can't see that a job blew up on Tuesday. I can, and your plan changes that day. An in-person trainer gets you one hour and disappears when you travel.

I've tried coaches before.

Did any of them ask what your worst week looked like before they wrote your plan? That's why it broke. What broke last time is the first thing I want to see.

I'm too busy right now.

That's the qualifier, not the objection. The calm week you're waiting for is your best week, and it isn't coming. If you weren't busy, this wouldn't be built for you.

My wife is part of this decision.

Good. Bring her on the call. If we work together, I'd rather you both hear exactly what we're building and why.

What happens after I say yes?

You sign your agreement, complete your intake form, and we build your Worst-Week Map. Your program is in the app within 72 hours, then we walk through it together on your onboarding call.

Your next step

I take 5 of these a week. When they're booked, they're booked.

Already booked? Get the most out of it:

  1. Come ready to walk me through your worst week, hour by hour.
  2. Know what you've tried, and the week it broke.
  3. If you have recent bloodwork, have it handy.
  4. If someone else is part of the decision, have them on the call.
  5. Be somewhere you can talk for 45 minutes. Not behind the wheel.

You've built everything else in your life to hold up under pressure. Your body should be no different.
